If you ever want to know more about the instrumental key factors that lead to breast cancer such as smoking, other pollutants, obesity then a newly formed database could guide you as evidence that would confirm such an association. Dr. Robert Schneider, Co-Director of the Cancer Research Society in New York University also commented that there are a lot of factors that would lead to breast cancer and it wouldn’t be possible to pin down any one chemical that would be sufficient enough to cause the cancer.
In a lot of cases, there is a very minimal risk of the increase in the cancel and hence there isn’t any particular evidence that nails any one single factor and is similar to solving a puzzle. Such a database simplifies the process by identifying a range of factors that lead to the condition. There is information on as many as 216 chemicals, diets, pollutants, weight as well as lifestyle changes that would lead to the development of breast cancer.
Out of the 216 listed in the database, as many as 100 have been recognised as the human carcinogens by the International Agency of Cancer Research. This also doesn’t mean that the other chemicals are safe; however they still need to be tested in order to measure their severity.
