It is a known fact that all those people with lighter eyes are comparatively more sensitive to light as they tend to have lesser pigmentation in the iris that would protect them from sunlight. Hence it places them at a higher risk of macular degeneration and some other eye related problems. However, it is yet to see whether it extends the problem to vision or not.
The differences, if any, are extremely subtle. There is almost negligible evidence that the darker eye colour means a better visual acuity, although one of the theory that holds true is that the darker eyes seem to have better reaction times.
There were several studies that prove this by looking at a series of sports performance and one such survey was carried out in the University of Louisville, where the dark eyed people performed better in the sports activities such as hitting the balls, football or boxing. However, the other group also surveyed on people with the light colour eyes and they seemed to be really good at he self-paced tasks such as throwing the basketballs, bowling or hitting golf balls.
There are a counter studies that have challenged the current findings along with the one that measured up the rugby players. However, there are certainly more surveys required in order to reach to a concrete solution. Hence there is very limited proof that say that the colour of the eyes can affect your vision.
