As per latest researches conducted by doctors and medical practitioners it has been found that both men and women can avoid the risk of getting strokes through moderate work outs. Many doctors demonstrated in the International Stroke Conference held at New Orleans that a person needs to walk for about 30 minutes or more a day to nullify stroke attacks. The experts and doctors stated that stroke generally happens when the brain fails to receive blood from different parts of the body through the veins and arteries. This may occur due to clotting of blood inside the blood tissues.

Steven Hooker who is the head of the South Carolina’s Prevention Research center was one of the chief speakers of the conference. He personally conducted a research of the occurrence of strokes in men and women per year globally. As per him 70% of the men are more prone to strokes than the women and most of them die of stroke; who are not so physically fit. Daily physical activities like walking, running, and the like can prevent the coagulation of blood. This is because it maintains the normal pace of the blood circulation. Hooker stressed on the conveying of this information worldwide to make people aware of this.
The Stroke Center at Duke University has undergone studies on stroke prevention under its director Dr. Larry Goldstein. He also recommended from his study that a person must do some amount of work out regularly every week. Various fitness experts are therefore advising both men and women to do exercises. As per them if they are having a hectic schedule everyday at the workplace they can take out some time to walk on the treadmill or perform some light exercises in the gyms and fitness centers. This will also allow both men and women to get energized.
