Tips for Getting Rid of Pimples

- Gently wash your face with fragrance and oil free cleanser. A non-detergent one labeled pH balanced
is most preferred.
- For the people with an oily skin, one must use a cleanser containing benzoyl peroxide or a salicylic acid.
- Do not scrub to an irritated skin, it will cause more breakouts from the pores of a pimples.
- Avoid using toner unless you have a very oily face because it might lead to fully drying out your face.
- Topical acne treatment which contains benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, or glycolic acid should be applied all over the face and not just on the place of blemishes.
- Before going to bed, use dab oil-free moisturizer and a drying spot-treatment product on dry areas of the skin.
- In the morning time or before going out, you must apply an oil-free sunscreen lotion all over your face.
- Take a small makeup brush and lightly touch the cream foundation or a concealer of exactly same shade as your skin and apply directly to your blemishes. Now, by using your fingertip, wipe off any excess concealer near the blemishes. You can also apply one more coat of concealer, if it is necessary.
- Be careful, if your makeup becomes cakey, wipe it off and again start from the first. If you are done with the concealer, brush the powder gently on top of the concealer with exactly the same shade as that of the concealer.
- If you have an oily skin, apply clay mask, it will help to absorb any extra oil from your skin.
- If it is immense necessary that the redness or the swelling must go on any urgent situation, then ask your doctor to give you a cortisone injection. It will reduce the pimple in a wink of a moment. However, if you do not have time to visit your dermatologist apply drugstore cortisone cream, Vasocon-A eyedrops or Preparation H on the infected areas. It will reduce the redness and the swelling of your skin which is caused by the pimples.
